Redundancy Support for Small Businesses

TYFU helps small and mid-sized businesses handle redundancies the right way — without the cost of big outplacement firms.

When redundancies happen, most companies want to support their employees properly.

The problem is that traditional outplacement services often cost thousands of dollars per employee, putting them out of reach for smaller organisations.

TYFU provides a practical alternative for only $500 per employee.

A structured program that helps employees process the shock of job loss, regain confidence and move forward with a clear plan — at a cost businesses can realistically provide.

What makes TYFU different

Traditional outplacement usually focuses on CVs and job applications.

But the biggest barrier after redundancy is often emotional shock, loss of identity and panic decision-making.

TYFU focuses first on stabilising people, then helping them move forward with clarity.

This leads to better decisions, stronger job searches and faster recovery.

What employees receive

Participants join a four-week guided Transition Program that includes:

• Four live weekly workshops

• Practical career tools and resources

• A private moderated support community

• 12 months ongoing access to that network

The program helps participants process what happened, regain confidence and develop a clear path forward.

A very small investment that makes a big difference

Redundancies are difficult for everyone involved.

Providing structured transition support shows employees they are valued — and significantly reduces the stress, resentment and uncertainty employees often feel after redundancy.

And people remember that.

We provide risk reduction, reputation protection, and solve your “we don’t know how to handle this properly” support.

Our Story

TYFU began by supporting hundreds job seekers across Australia through redundancy and career disruption — offering practical, human support at a time when many felt lost or unsupported. Hundreds of people joined, trusted us with their stories, and reminded us how much this moment matters.

Through that work, we saw a bigger gap emerge.

Small and medium businesses wanted to do the right thing when roles ended, but often lacked the tools, time, or confidence to manage exits well. TYFU has evolved to meet that need.

Today, we provide outplacement services for SMEs, supporting employees through transition while helping businesses protect their people, culture, and reputation. Our approach is practical, respectful, and grounded in real-world experience.

TYFU is led by people who have spent years listening to job seekers, speaking publicly about career disruption, and advocating for better workplace transitions. Our work and insights have been featured across TV, radio, and national media — not because we chase attention, but because this moment in work life deserves better conversations.

We exist to help businesses handle exits  affordably but well — and help people move forward with dignity, confidence, and momentum.  We help mitigate legal action for unfair dismissal, alleviate employee stress and boost their chances of finding their next job quickly.

If you’re navigating a restructure, redundancy, or difficult transition, we’re here to help you do it properly.

For Employers: How Our Transition Program Works

Supporting employees through redundancy shouldn’t require a five-figure outplacement contract.

TYFU was created specifically for small and mid-sized businesses that want to do the right thing by their people but don’t have the budget for traditional corporate programs.

Our structured four-week program helps employees:

• process the shock of job loss

• regain confidence and stability

• develop a clear plan for their next move

• stay connected to a supportive professional network

For employers, this means you can provide meaningful support at a practical cost, while reinforcing a culture of respect and responsibility.

The result:

Employees leave feeling supported — not abandoned.
